  1. How did you hear about CrossFit?
    My husband, Tom Bender, had been doing CrossFit for about 6 months. I loved hearing about it and thought it was great for him but just not for me. Then I tried my first Into class and was “hooked”!
    I have battled my weight for most of my life and had been mostly sedentary for the last 25 years. I have never stuck with any sort of exercise for any length of time. I am still amazed that I look forward to going to CrossFit. I think it is the combination of working out along side a great group of people, being encouraged by the coaches and all of the athletes and doing things I never thought I would or could do.
    I feel blessed that most of our immediate family also do CrossFit. Our two daughters are both CrossFit coaches and even our Grandchildren do CrossFit!
  2. What is your favorite WOD?
    I don’t have one particular favorite. I like WOD’S that have a little of everything in them. I met my husband in High School gymnastics (over 35 years ago:) so I would say that the gymnastic movements are my favorite and yet I love lifting as it makes me feel strong and confident.
  3. Favorite exercise or lift?
    Bench Press and Dead Lift
  4. What would we find on your iTunes playlist?
    Classic Rock-Oldies (Elvis and Aretha) and right now Uptown Funk is my favorite song!!
  5. What do you like to do besides CrossFit?
    A great day for me is when all 3 of our children and 4 grandchildren are together with Tom and I. I also love to read and keep up on all of the Housewives (wait.. should I admit that?) When I have time, I like to work on photo projects.
